There are so many different web sites on the Internet with so many different types of content that it is impossible for a software to 100 percent protect your children and family from what you as the parent deem inappropriate content.

Some companies approach Internet filtering with "Content Recognition Systems", the problem however is that they can never really look at the "CONTENT" of a web site because there is NO technology in existence that can reliably evaluate a picture and deem weather it is safe to view or not.  Many companies even have a full-time staff browsing the Internet for "objectionable web sites", but they are fighting a loosing battle as literally thousands of websites are created every day. Web sites will come and go and content can change at a moments notice.

The Solution

Data Apples realized from the beginning that parents should decide what their children and family can view on the Internet. It doesn't make sense to trust a stranger to decide what our children can and can't view.

Suntereo is simple, 100% of web sites are blocked from the start. As the parent, you are able to surf the web with your child using a simple "Learning Mode" that is accessed directly from within your web browser. Sites viewed while in "Learning Mode" are added to the "Trusted Sites" list which can be edited by the parent with the correct password.  Once you have shown Suntereo which websites are "Trusted Sites", any family member can access them at any time.

Suntereo also has a "Bypass Mode" which allows the parent to preview a web site and decide if the content is acceptable for your children and family. Once "Bypass Mode" is turned off, Suntereo only allows computer users to view the "Trusted Sites".

Lastly, Suntereo is built to be tamper-proof.  If a child tries to terminate the application using the Windows Task Manager, the application automatically restarts.  Even in the hands of a computer specialist, Suntereo is almost impossible to turn off without the password!
