Beyond Remote offers the ability for the Console user to see which connections are online at any given time. If a user is online, the 'Person' icon next to their connection will appear green, if the person is offline it will appear red.
Global Options
The Global Options function allows you to set up how you would like each new connection to be configured by default. The options are:
Default Port - The port that the new connection will use to connect to the Host.
Viewing Mode - This option allows the user to choose between a Scaled (small) view, Standard, or Full Screen window when controlling the remote computer.
Color - Choose between 16 Colors, 256 Colors, 16K Colors, or Maximum Available Colors.
Block Size - The Block size has to do with the number of pixels that are refreshed at one time. The screen is broken down into blocks the size that you select here. This allows Beyond Remote to only refresh the blocks that change, not the whole screen. Your options are 8, 16, 32, and 64.
Frames Per Second (FPS) - Modifying the FPS adjusts the number of times Beyond Remote refreshes your screen every second. By changing this to 2, for example, this means Beyond Remote will update your screen twice per second. Your options are 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and Max. The default is "Max".
Authentication Method - You can authenticate with either the Standard Beyond Remote authentication or use Integrated NT Authentication. This setting must be the same setting as the host you are connecting to.
The Terminal Services and XP Remote Desktop connections have more limited connection settings including screen resolution and screen size.
Update Options - The update options allow you to automatically check for Beyond Remote updates, manually check for updates, and also specify the type of Internet connection you are using (Direct or via Proxy).
