Host Configure

The configure screen will allow you to change the TCP/IP port number that the Beyond Remote Host listens on.  In most cases this should be set to the default TCP port of 5424 but in some circumstances this may need to be changed.  All in all if you don't know why you would change this setting you probably don't need to change it.

OPTIONS
  • "Enable connection notification sound" option will allow you to enable/disable the sound that is made to alert the person on this computer that someone is accessing it.
  • "Require password to access configuration" option will prompt you for the Beyond Remote password when you attempt to access the Hosts configuration.  Use this option to prevent unauthorized users from changing Beyond Remotes configuration.
  • "Transparency Detection" option will instruct the Beyond Remote Host to allow the Console to view applications that have transparent forms.  This only works on Windows 2000, 2003 and XP and will result in mouse flicker on the Host end.  The mouse flicker will only be viewable by the person at that computer.
