Installation Overview
Beyond Remote consists of two pieces of software:
  • The first part is called the "Console", it allows you to view remote computers, copy files, chat with remote people, and have complete control over the remote computer from anywhere in the world.
  • The second part of Beyond Remote is called the "Host". The Host is installed on remote computers and waits for Consoles to connect to it. The Host then processes the requests that come from Consoles like viewing the screen, copying files, etc.

    Installation Options
Beyond Remote installation comes with three difference choices
  • Console and Host Installation (Full Install) - includes both the Console used for controlling a remote computer and the Host that allows a Console to connect to it.  Use this installation if you want to run the Console and Host on the same computer.
  • Console Only - will only install the Console that is used to connect to a remote computer.
  • Host Only - will only install the Host on a computer.  This will allow computers running the Console to connect to it.

Installation notes:  You must have administrative rights to install the Beyond Remote Host on Windows 2000, XP or 2003 based operating systems.  You must also Configure Your Router Properly before Beyond Remote will function properly over the Internet.

The Console and Host installation can be downloaded from http://www.dataapples.com.  Please follow the download and installation instructions found at our web site.
