Beyond Remote is fully compatible with Windows XP except "Fast User Switching". When using the "Switch User" option instead of "Logout" you will get gray screens when the client connects. This is because Windows XP actually has multiple desktops running and Windows is limiting the Beyond Remote server to the first desktop (IE: The desktop of the first person that logged in). Once multiple accounts are logged in the ability to capture the desktop is lost.

We are working on solving this issue but at this time there does not appear to be a work around. Note: From all my research it also appears that all the other remote control packages experience this same issue.

To turn fast user switching on or off you need to be logged in as an administrator. Note: Fast user switching is not available on a computer that is part of a domain.

1. Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - User Accounts.
2. Click the "Change the way users log on or off" link.
3. Uncheck the "Use fast user switching" check box to turn this feature off.
